POND DISCOVERY: Kids! Bring your parents and come explore the pond at Cross Creek Park. Meet at the Pavilion in the park, at 8115 Parkglen Drive.
SWEEP NET SAFARI: Kids! Bring your parents again, and explore the grassy uplands at Cross Creek Park with us. This time we'll be using sweep nets to capture insects that live in the dry, grassy areas of the park. We'll identify these critters, and learn about the role they play in the park's ecosystem. RSVP to Naturalist David Rudin, at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Wear closed-toe shoes, sun hats, sunscreen and bug spray.
Join neighbors and friends next Saturday, from 10 am - 12 pm. We'll be doing a trash pick-up at the park and adjoining drainageways. CCMD will provide gloves, bags and snacks. Bring your water bottle, sunscreen, and mud boots, if you have them! Bring your neighbor too! We'll see you there!
As of July 2016, regular meetings of the Board of Directors of the Cross Creek Metropolitan District will be held on the third Thursday of each month at 12:00 noon, at the Cross Creek Church, 1320 C&S Road, Fountain, CO 80817.
Cross Creek Metro District manager presented a revised Park Plan to the City of Fountain Parks Advisory Board in October, and to Fountain Planning Commission and Fountain City Council in November. The Park Plan was approved with a unanimous vote by City Council members. CCMD thanks all who were involved in revision to the Park Plan over the years. It has been a lengthy process, and we are excited to have a plan with room for future improvements. We look forward to working with Cross Creek residents and residents throughout the region into the future to keep improving Cross Creek Regional Park for your enjoyment and recreational pleasure!
