Pond Discovery:  Kids!  Bring your parents and come explore the pond at Cross Creek Park.  Naturalist David Rudin will lead this activity, as we use nets to scoop up and identify the myriad of creatures living in the waters at the park.  Learn about the complex food web that exists at Cross Creek Park.  RSVP is required, to:  dbrudin@yahoo.com.  Wear shoes that can get wet, sun hat, sunscreen and bug spray.  Meet at the Pavilion in the park, at 8115 Parkglen Drive.

Sweep Net Safari:  Kids!  Bring your parents again, and explore the grassy uplands at Cross Creek Park with us.  This time we'll be using sweep nets to capture insects that live in the dry, grassy areas of the park.  We'll identify these critters, and learn about the role they play in the park's ecosystem.  RSVP to Naturalist David Rudin, at:  dbrudin@yahoo.com.  Wear closed-toe shoes, sun hats, sunscreen and bug spray.
